Guys,
If your church is like 95% of most you do not have an active men's ministry. One where men get together and not only share in a Bible Study - but keep each other accountable.
I believe - a good solid men's ministry will grow a church (spiritually). We know kids and teens will come. We know the ladies will be there (for the most part). But once you have a committed man step up and take the "reins" - families in your church will grow stronger together in the Lord.
So I challenge you to get together with your men. Have a breakfast or dinner - perhaps move from the traditional Saturday morning and meet on a Sunday.
Use your time wisely. Show these men that you know - that their time is important.
If you will put forth the effort to have something like this. I would love to come to your church and share some ideas of how to grow an effective men's ministry.
I have a few ministry models that I am sure can fit your church - and for you to mold as needed.
It just takes one spark to light a fire.
I believe when we as pastors (both men and women) stand up and be men and women of integrity and take to heart what I timothty 3:4-5 says and means - the sparks will come.
I Timothy 3:4-5
"He must manage his own family well and see to it that his children obey him with proper respect,
if anyone cannot manage their own family. How can they take care of God's church."
God Bless You.
In Christ,
